Note to my readers: This post is about Bon Jovi. Move on if you normally ignore these posts.
It's inevitable. Whenever I hang out with Sharon, we go into this world where we can communicate simply by looking at one another. When people are around us, they somehow feel like they missed the joke and really they have. We've known each other so very long (we were 12 when we first met) that there are so many little things that we couldn't ever explain to anyone and really, we probably wouldn't want to.
Many of our little private jokes come from this:
I would post all of Access All Areas but it's over 2 hours and well... you won't watch it anyway. :-) I can't tell you how we memorized this video. We just devoured it. And many of our little inside jokes are from this video...
I miss sitting up in Sharon's room, watching the video over and over, pressing pause and rewind... analyzing Jon and Richie's every word, every move, every intonation. It was a nice little world we had back then. In
Back to reminiscing.
I would say enjoy but no one is going to comment or watch.
I may be in my own world but I'm not stupid!
There is NOTHING I love more than finding a rare Mariah or Bon Jovi song. I'm a superfan. When I love an artist, I am obsessed and need to own every thing the artist ever did. So when Drew's napping and I'm not cleaning or taking care of the dogs, I look for MP3's of rare tracks that I may not have.
I found a track but not the MP3. It's KILLING me. I love Bon Jovi but I am not blind or deaf. Some of their albums have not been the best. Have a Nice Day was a good CD but I thought Jon and Richie were writing to get a hit. It sounded... like they were trying too hard.
Well. I found this track on Youtube... it's an outake from the Have a Nice Day cd and it's better than every single track on that album (is it an album any more?). The lyrics are just amazing, the music is genuine and the whole vibe is heartfelt. Sometimes I really wonder why Jon chooses the songs he does. Cause this one, it should have been on that CD.
Nothing
Bon Jovi
We've been through this all before a thousand times
Come on, come on, come on, tell me what's on your mind
Doesn't matter, baby, what I say
It all amounts to nothing anyway
When push comes to shove
it's never enough
It always comes down to something
How could I live? Why would I try?
I can learn to live without you but that's a lie
Seems there's always something and all that's ever left is nothing
(All that's ever left is nothing)
I thought I saw you reach out, thought I saw you try
Waiting here for something, nothing's all I find
Kneeling at your altar, standing on the shore
I'm waiting, now listen, I'm outside your door
When push comes to shove
it's never enough
It always comes down to something
How could I live? Why would I try?
I can learn to live without you but that's a lie
Seems there's always something and all that's ever left is nothing
(All that's ever left is nothing)
I won't give up
I won't give in
no
Cause you know I won't let you down
How could I live? Why would I try?
I could learn to live without you but I would die
No giving in or saying goodbye
Seems there's always something but all that's ever left is nothing
Why would I try?
I could learn to live without you but that's a lie
No giving in or saying goodbye
Seems there's always something and all that's ever left is nothing
I won't give up
I won't give in
no
`Cause you know I won't let you down
You know I won't let you down
You know I won't let you down

Jon Bon Jovi showed off footage for the first time in public from the upcoming Phil Griffin-directed documentary about his band during a question-and-answer panel today (Sept. 25) as part of Advertising Week in New York.
The clips showed the Bon Jovi being interviewed (and using a fair amount of expletives) about life on the road and what the band means to him, plus performing before vast crowds. In addition, guitarist Richie Sambora is seen talking about his addiction to painkillers and how the band eventually convinced him to go into rehab.
At the end of the clip, which featured footage in both black-and-white and color, the words "25 Years in Black and White" and "Spring 2009" were shown on screen, although it could not be immediately ascertained if the former is the official title.
"We wanted to document what this is all about and keep creative control," Bon Jovi said during the session with former Billboard editorial director Tamara Conniff.
Bon Jovi also talked about his ongoing philanthropic efforts with the Arena Football League team he owns, the Philadelphia Soul, and how the band has remained relevant in an industry constantly on the prowl for the latest new thing. "You never saw us doing boy band dance moves or bringing a rapper on stage," he said.
OMG Sharon and I are so going to see this with my son! Ya gotta start the brainwashing early!

New York officials say Bon Jovi will play at a free concert in Central Park on July 12. The concert is billed as a prelude to the July 15 Major League Baseball All-Star game, which will highlight the final season at Yankee Stadium.
The event will be announced this afternoon during a press conference at New York's City Hall, including details of ticket distribution.
Bon Jovi wraps its North American tour with a July 14-15 stand at New York's Madison Square Garden.

OMG!!! Free is for me!!! I so want to go!! Waah.... I really don't have anyone who will go with me. Shit stains! This bites my behind. Big time. I'll have to see what I can muster up. I can probably force Daniela to go with me... let's see what ticket distribution entails though... See Jon knows... he knows I'm having a baby and can't afford his "affordable" $300 seats so he's doing a concert for free just for me.
Don't ever say Jon never did anything for me... :-)
