I'm not a huge fan of Jon & Kate Plus 8 but Andrew watches it often and obviously they have been all over the media due to their divorce. And I don't normally post a lot about things like this because as a child of divorce, I am sad for these children. Sad that they will have to bear witness to the fighting, name-calling and heartbreak that inevitably ensues when a marriage crumbles and that they have to do so with the intense scrutiny of the public eye upon them.
When I was a little girl, my mother and I used to watch I Love Lucy religiously. I think because my mom is clumsy and a little on the flighty side, she identifies with Lucy in a lot of ways. Trust me, she IS Lucy in a lot of ways!
Our favorite episide was when Lucy finds out she's pregnant. The entire episode she's trying to tell Ricky the news but something keeps getting in the way. Finally, she goes to the Tropicana nightclub, where Ricky works as a singer, and passes a note through the maitre'd. The note asks Ricky to sing "We're having a Baby". It goes on to say that this woman would like to announce to her husband that they're pregnant. He starts the song, goes onto ask as he's singing different couples if they're the lucky ones, each couple shaking their head.
He finally gets to Lucy and she nods. And I can cry now just thinking about it. So I'm going to try and control my hormonal surge right now and get some tissues. In the meanwhile, watch and enjoy!
Joss Stone playing homely wife in "Tudors"
By Nellie Andreeva
LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - In her first major acting role, British soul singer Joss Stone will play Henry VIII's fourth wife, Anne of Cleves, in Showtime's drama "The Tudors."
The gig will likely be a brief one, as Anne was married to Henry (Jonathan Rhys Meyers) for about six months.
A daughter of a German nobleman, Anne was betrothed to Henry in a marriage treaty between the Cleves Court and the king's chancellor after Henry was shown a portrait of her.
Upon Anne's arrival in England, Henry was disappointed in her looks and soon found a legal way to have the marriage annulled.
According to Showtime, the upcoming season of the racy royal drama will follow the king as he weds Jane Seymour (Anita Briem) and then Anne of Cleves.
Stone, who burst onto the music scene in 2003 and has had three gold albums in the U.S., has been looking to cross over into acting. In 2006, she had a role in the fantasy feature "Eragon." She is working on a new album.

Wait, really, Joss Stone? Anne of Cleves... Come on...
HBO had renewed Tell Me You Love Me, a show that focus' on three couples sharing the same therapist and at different stages in "coupledom" but decided to cancel the show after the creator had expressed concern over whether there were enough stories to tell in a second and possibly third season.
On a personal level, I'm disappointed. Tell Me You Love was the first show that really had a focus on infertility, trying to conceive and at the very end of the last show, miscarriage. It's something that no other network had ever shown before and I was excited to see how it was handled. In the first season, we saw a thirty something couple struggle to conceive and finally doing so through IUI (Intra-Uterine Insemination). In a devastating blow, they lost their baby in an early miscarriage and with that, their marriage fell apart as well.
As a whole, the show was well-written, excellently shot and very real feeling. I'm sad to see it go.
